This unusual and attractive sequence features English Folksongs in new manuscript arrangements specially made by Michael Overbury for Nottingham Boys Choir alternating with English Harpsichord Fancies (that is Fantasias) from the Tudor period.

All in all, a quintessentially English programme to celebrate the leading local independent example of that quintessentially English tradition, the Boys Choir.

The CD is beautifully presented, with a running time of over 70 minutes.
